Lisa Nicole Grace has been deeply in love with the written word for as long as she can remember. She loves getting lost in a book, in a song, in someone’s life story, or even just an email from a dear friend. Words have power, words are magic. One of Lisa’s favourite things to do is to try and assemble words in a song just so, so that someone is touched, understood, celebrated, remembered, loved.
Lisa’s songwriting highlights to this point include being a Kerrville New Folk Finalist and travelling to Texas to be featured in the New Folk Concert Series, being an Official Showcase Artist at Folk Alliance International and travelling to Kansas City to play music into the wee hours, and recording two albums of original material in her home town of Edmonton. She has participated in two Songwriter Residencies – the Banff Centre for the Arts & Creativity Songwriter Residency in 2019, and the Rogue Residency with Howard Bilerman in 2022.

Her most recent album, Tree of Life¸boasts a wondrous collection of jazz, traditional folk nuances and contemporary pop. The Edmonton based artist can be compared to the greats like Sheryl Crow and Jann Arden, although adding her own personal touches and pouring passion into every word, Lisa Nicole Grace is quickly developing her own musical legacy.
