It’s been a while! Since my last blog in May, Jered and I have played a lot of shows! Some highlights include Make Music Edmonton on 124 Street, the Cypress Hills Provincial Park Amphitheater in Saskatchewan, the Little Red Church Theatre in Comox Valley, The Rocky Mountain Ice House in Edmonton and the Bluejay Cafe Holiday Pop Up in Calgary! We have also done quite a bit of travelling (Radium, Medicine Hat, Banff, Comox) and a ton of catering! We are in the midst of our busy catering season right now, so no more shows until the new year. I’m super excited to be playing with my dear friend Jeff Pittman from Newfoundland at Anvil Coffeehouse on January 23rd, so stay tuned for details in the Events section.
Back to the point of this wee update – I have started taking my freelance writing a bit more seriously. I have always written for all my various jobs (within our catering company and my three positions with the Culinary Federation) for newsletters, web content, social media content, ghostwriting for our national magazine insert with the Canadian Restaurant & Foodservice News. However, I have never really written for myself. By that I mean writing unassigned articles or blogs, short stories or other creative works. I’m excited to share that I’ve been doing a bit more writing, so I added a new section to my website that you can find here.
I’ll be updating it as I get more opportunities to write, so stay tuned.
Merry Christmas everyone! xo
