After cancelling our May 2020 trip to South Carolina (covid) to see one of my dearest friends Daneel and her family, we finally made it down there this past October! We spent 6 days with them in Rock Hill, fishing, cooking, playing cards, touring around to Cideries. It was a dream of a trip, and we finished it off with a house concert. Daneel and her neighbours Elizabeth and Rachel call themselves the Sunshine Committee, and bring light to their neighbours by putting together welcome packages, new baby gifts, meals for the sick, etc. We used the house concert to raise money for their latest pojrect – a little neighbourhood library. Jered and I built a beautiful charcuterie table as well! It was such a treat to spend time with our friends, meet their new friends, and serenade everyone in the process.
